On Friday 4th May the annual Club Dinner was enjoyed by 100 members and guests including our local MP Sammy Wilson. The dinner was generously sponsored by NFU Mutual – Cross & McCluggage. Players awards were announce by our captain Johnny McFetridge and presented by our main sponsor Damien Maguire of AMNexday.

Presidents Award was present to Neil Willis on behalf of Barry Willis for services to the club.

A ballot was also held for two prizes sponsored by Calor and Stena.

A fantastic steak dinner prepared by Stephen Henry preceded the toasts. A toast was made to the Ulster Branch by our President, Arthur James, which was hilariously responded to on behalf of the Ulster Branch President by Graffin Parke, a stalwart of Rainey and a member of various committees at the Branch. Johnny then toasted the guests to which Denis Gardiner, an ex Captain and President of Larne responded. In his witty response Denis only alluded to incidents involving members to which no convictions relate (by luck). He finished off with a blend of tour songs of the 80s written by himself in the good old days, and featuring the exploits of many of those present. A great time was had by all!!!!
